| I don't get that channel but do watch Outdoor channel now & then. Seems they'll air anything so long as someone pays for airtime. I'm sick of prospecting America, gold fever, bull riding, etc. I wish I could get The Mens Channel.

| Actually the Bull Riding is about the only thing I watch on OLN anymore. I got it for the hunting and fishing shows, but anymore they are more worried about turning out a Hollywood production (FAKE) than keeping it realistic. Although there are a couple of hunting shows I like, when I see 10 different angles of the hunter getting ready to take his shot, the hunter sneaking up or finding the game when the cameraman is in front of them, or immediately looking at the shooter instead of the game after the shot, I know that these shots were taken after the fact and not real. I dislike the biking and other junk but the bull riding at least keeps me from canceling the channel (go Ross Coleman). |

| True enough! And then, when a decent show does air it is out of the prime viewing hours timeslot.

| There is indeed a Men's Channel. It is mostly paid infomercials, but about six or eight hours a day they have decent hunting programing. I too get tired of the "canned" look, and wish they would film more of the hunts, show the set-up and hunting tips, and forget the Hollywood look.

| There are way too many shows aired on the three "hunting channels" that aren't fun to watch. The commercial advertising shows, gold panning, fishing, turkey hunting, bow hunting for whitetails, it's all boring and plain. I watch hunting shows to see hunts that are exotic, dangerous, expensive, "once in a lifetime", hunts I probably won't be going on for a while. I want to see Marco Polo sheep hunts, Encounters with the Big 5, Alaskan Moose and sheep hunts, Takin hunting in China, Desert Bighorn. I bet many hunters wouldn't mind a TV crew come along on one of their hunts, I certainly would enjoy being able to see my hunt over and over. I frankly would be fine if I didn't see any deer hunts as well. I'd also like it if they showed more of the true side of hunting. Watching the entire sequence of the animal being shot, falling dead, convulsing, not the family friendly deer falling at the shot and then the camera cutting to the obviously excited hunter to hear how great a shot that was. Watching a golden takin fall in the jungles of china after many days of hard hunting, then watching the hunters carry it out, field dress it, skin it really appeals to me. I wouldn't mind if they had a show in which we got to see various trophy rooms around the world. I always enjoy trophy room tours and getting ideas. |

| very easy way to address your complaints. write to the sponsors and tell them what you like and don't like. |

| Between all of the bull riding, turkey hunting (which is good in moderation) and gold panning I gave up on outdoor television a long time ago. I understand that they put that programming on for a reason, i.e. they're research tells them to, but it's just not for me. I was all geared up for "Dangerous Game" on OLN, but then they only showed one episode and I heard nothing of further episodes.

| The answer dear friends is to turn the tube off and spend more time in the re-loading shack. I have about two shows that I watch but most of the time I have a book open, or one of the outdoor magizens (wich are just about as bad as the out door channels. How many differant ways can you write abot the same new exciting guns and gear? The tube robs us of our life and for most folks is just an excuse not to have sex. Best advice, yet. RSY
The real work of men was hunting meat. The invention of agriculture was a giant step in the wrong direction, leading to serfdom, cities, and empire. | Don't worry guys, July is just a few days away. July is when TOC and OLN bring out the new season of hunting shows and yes, there really is a "Men's Channel". On Dish Network it's channel 218. They have ALOT of BS crap shows on during the daytime, but starting around 5:00pm they start to show the hunting shows. My favorite on that channel is "The Best of the West" on wednesdays. I've been busy trying to get all of my yard work done before July so I can enjoy the new shows. Can't wait for the new season of "Realtree Roadtrips". That's the best hunting show on all of the networks! Elk Country |

| I believe the reason, there is so much "Gold Fever" on is because the brothers, the Massies' are the owners of The Outdoor Channel. But I've been wrong before. |
