Just returned from a trip to town using Interstate 5. The rut has started here and the buck are plain stupid. There were two very nice bucks hit on the highway and saw a nice 4X4 chasing a half dozen does just off the side of an on ramp.

Yesterday I was insulating a few water spigots for winter and there was a 3X2 sniffing some does, totally ignoring me as I worked. Yep, the season closed here 2 weeks ago.

Saw a very nice 12 point get wacked by a pickup last week. saw some stuip ones hanging around the roads think I can get a stuip one with in bow range. Nope.

Another one got hit this morning. Barely a fork.
