I think he did a magnifecent job.
What do you think?
It took me 7 leap years to collect the 2 of them.
The buck on the left is the World Record.
The one on the right is the old world record.
Was the toughest hunts I've ever been on and
would love to tell you more but am considering offering outfitted hunts.
So probably ought to keep the trade secrets
under my hat.
for more infomation contact me the 3rd tuesday in September.Should be in the office all day.

He did a great job capturing the pure malice in their eyes.

I've only seen ONE in the wild. Gave me nightmares for a week. It had a chupicabra (sp?) in it's mouth and was dragging it back to his lair.

kinda reminds me of the story about Sven and Ole. Seems Sven had gone out and shot a couple of coons. Brought them by to Ole, his taxidermist to have them "stuffed". Ole commments "so you vant dem mounted" Upon which Sven replies, no, Ma and I still have kiddos at home. Just have them holding hands. tu2

I'm sure there were no high fences involved. Fair chase all the way!
Great mount.

We used to see a lot of Jackalopes in southern New Mexico when the tequila full moon was out. Some were trophy siae for sure.

This is my cousin's Missouri Jackalope. I think it might be a different species than your Mountain Jackalope. Corn fed, fewer hunters, rifle season in the Jackalope rut, no wonder he gets so many big ones.

Impressive mount Ravenr, would have been great to had a video of that fight.

On the other side of the coin though, I can recall only seeing one or two jackalope mounts using pronghorn horn sheaths instead of deer antler.

In Tennessee, those would easily be mistaken for small whitetail deer.

ravenr,

Good job man!

The last one I called in outside of Douglas in 1998 had just shed his antlers and was in a foul mood!
I was coyote calling at dusk and one came in and stood about 25 yards away, blowing at us. VERY cranky.

We were coyote calling and all I had was a .223.

Close call for us. I'm glad you were able to get the world record. Both times!

Lucky Man!

What happened to the 4 inch canine teeth? My muntjack which I shot in India in 1983 had just 2 inch teeth!
