Hi all, I will be in San Diego in August. So if anybody interested, I would like to meet you. Year ago, I met zeeriverrat1 in Wynne, Arkansas and we had a good time. Jiri

Jiri...Looks like you are on the road again! If anyone would like to know about hunting in the Czech Republic it would be worth your time to visit with Jiri. Our visit gave me a whole new perspective concerning hunting in Europe. Zee

I won't be but I used to live there. If you need some places to eat while you are there, these were a few of my favorites. - Hash House a Go-Go (fantastic country style breakfast with huge portions, but be prepared for a wait). - Ponce's (Mexican restaurant in Kennsington area. My favorite is the Pollo Asado Nachos washed down with a Cadillac Margarita.) - Arrivederci (A nice Italian restaurant) Those are probably my top 3 places. If you find yourself by a taco shop that serves "California Burritos," order one. Despite the name, it's only a San Diego thing. They're delicious, just keep an open mind. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris

Sevens: Thank you for tips. I always try to enjoy local cuisine, beers, wines and sometimes spirits too ;-) As I am from Czech Republic, I am very "beer sensitive". Of course I have found in USA really bad mainstream "beers" (like in any other country include mine), but also found very best local beers, mostly in Portland Oregon area and Austin, TX. Austin area was also very good for BBQ. But BBQ king is Memphis, TN I think and area around. We had a great meal with zeeriverrat1 in Arkansas (Greg and Jim's Grocery & Bar-B-Q). For sure I will enjoy San Diego cuisine too. Jiri

Jiri, San Diego has something like 33 crafts breweries, so a good place to go for beer. They enjoy IPA's a lot there and have their own unique version of it called a San Diego Pale Ale. One of the bigger breweries there, Stone Brewery, is well worth visiting. It's in the Northern part of San Diego. They built a new facility a few years back and have a large area for customers to drink and eat in addition to touring to see the beer made. If you visit the San Diego Safari Park, it's close by there so makes for a good combination for the day. Here's a link to get your started if you want to visit some breweries while you are there. http://www.sandiego.org/articl...diego-breweries.aspx ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris
