I purchased a spring black bear tag for SW Oregon. Just wondering if anyone has any information regarding the best way to go about it. I have a friend who lives in Roseburg and will be based out of that area but we will hunt anywhere in there SW units that have the most promise. I will be hunting the last week of the season, the last week of May, by the way.

Any information on conditions and what to look for when scouting, any pertinent information would be appreciated.

This is mainly a chance to hunt with a lifelong friend, and take my family on a vacation. Something about walking around in new country hunting makes the family vacation so much more fun.
