A good Wyoming or Montana mule deer/elk/antelope combo would sure hit the spot!

They say Alaska has some exceptional black bears. That would be my choice.

What is your budget? This would help all of us in suggesting a trip for you.

Ninja,

There have been several good suggestions. Since you are fresh out of school. I feel that you will still need a chaperone. [Smile]

Ninja,
Did you finally get out of the eighth grade?? Sorry, couldnt resist.

You might think abut a drop camp for elk given your budget. You will have to do most of the work tyourself but they will get you in, your game out(hopefully) and have a camp and cooking gear set up for you. Often you need more than one person for the outfitter to book it.

NH,
My dad surprised me this year, we're going to AB in Oct. to hunt moose. The hunt was something like $3200, and we can shoot a wolf if we see one, as well. I'm hoping we both get a moose, and a wolf wouldnt be bad, either! Anyway, good luck, and whatever you decide on, you'll have fun.

BTW,
A baited black bear hunt is a good deal, too. I hunted with Tim Clark from Field and Fly Outfitters in New Brunswick, Canada, and I think that hunt was something like $1200, my dad and I both bagged a bear. Here's my e-mail address if you want some more info:

Ninja Hunter,

You should get a hold of Wendell Reich at:
http://www.huntersquest.com/

He is currently offering a very inexpensive bow elk hunt in New Mexico. You can do it guided or unguided depending on how much you want to spend.
