My father and I will be hunting early season for bull moose in unit 2. Looking for recommendations on a guide for that area. Possibly with a bow but not opposed to using a rifle. O

Not familiar with Maine’s areas, but if it is around Patten, ME North County Lodge has great guides, great food, and lots of moose.

I hunt bear with them almost every year.

Lugdon lodge at Eagle Lake did a great job for me several years ago. My permit was also for WMD2. They also had great arrangements with a processor who butchered my moose for a very reasonable price. Good luck.
My son-in-law drew a permit for WMD9 Where we will be in October.
