Have spent 3 nights chasing and have been rewarded with sightings of coyote, Mt. sheep
Mt. goat, elk, deer and 5 bears.
Chased 1 Big Ole Pumpkin headed Boar but
he won and I'm thankful "just "to play the game.
Win, lose or draw.
Anyone else having any luck?

I was planning on giving it a shot in the Sierra Madres, but work and snow have conspired to keep me out of the woods.

I am hoping a color phase or maybe even a large black colored one walks by the house this year. Last year it was just smaller black colored bears.

But not going to chase them this year.

Just spent 6 days in a wall tent near the Salmon River. The elk and deer wintered well. Saw four bears but two were small and two were smart so did not bring any home. Got to work a couple of colts in the back country so it was an awsome trip.
