Thought I'd post a couple pictures of my two sons and their hunts in 2013.
My oldest boy took a few days off from College to hunt with us this fall.
Made a clean 1 shot kill with his .243 using 90 grain Speer Deep shocks. This buck will be welcome tablefare for him and his college room mates. He has grown up to be a great young man and a great hunter, every time I hear him shoot I know we have some packing to do.

My youngest son isn't old enough to hunt in Colorado yet so I took him down to Oklahoma and we hunted with AR member Graybird. My son was 10 at the time. He used a .257 Roberts that I originally bought for his mom, 205 yards nearly perfect broadside shot. Great fun hunting with your kids and anyones kids for that matter, enjoy the pictures.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Congrats to you and your boys, looks like the boys had a great time sharing the woods with you. I still got 3 more seasons until I can share it with my boy.

Thanks!

That's awesome Mr. Snellstrom! Darn shame your boy has to go out of state when he's obviously ready for action.

Great to see kids in the field. You are raising them right! Congrats.

Precious!

I took my 14 year old out after deer this year but he ended up with a real bad tummy bug and the trip had to be cut short!

Fantastic. Brings back good memories from years ago.

From yon far country blows:

What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
