If you were to pick one this coming year to go to which one Dallas Safari Club or SCI in Nevada?

I found DSC to be more welcoming and relaxed.

I would pick DSC. They don't rob you to get in and it seems like a more relaxed friendly environment. Unfortunately for me I can't make it to DSC this year because of work. So off to SCI I go

DSC definitely. Unfortunately, I have a scheduling conflict this year and most likely it will have to be SCI.

SCI... Buddies and I enjoy the eight hour drive to Vegas from Idaho. DSC is two twelve hour days each way.

If you like bluebloods who walk around with their noses up in the air, go to SCI. If you like regular "Joe's" that drink longneck beer and dip Copenhagen, and are generally as hospitable as people get, DSC rules..........

I live 3 hours from SCI. So SCI it is.

Also even though many exhibitors do both, there are many who do DSC because they refuse to be extorted by SCI. Have gun- Will travel The value of a trophy is computed directly in terms of personal investment in its acquisition. Robert Ruark

Guys, I like both shows, am a member of both organizations and exhibitor at both. SCI to me though is the super bowl of outdoor shows and Vegas it just a better overall venue for a hunter wanting to make a short holiday out of the convention with family and friends. There's a lot to do and see plus the food is outstanding. Dallas is less expensive and I tell hunters on a regular basis if finance is an issue go to Dallas as all the major players will be there. I guess it boils down to what type of experience you'd like. Oh! There are plenty of longnecker drinkers and Copenhagen users at both shows. Believe me! Mark MARK H. I've been to SCI a few times, and have never been more unimpressed with a particular group of people in my life. They seemed to think their schittt was ice cream and there were not enough spoons to go around.

These comments are interesting . I go to both. Lots of good people at both. More than Enough assholes at both. It is interesting. There are some people you can't talk to at one because there are so many people get their booth will be empty at the other. DSC generally seems more relaxed. SCI has more things to do.

If a bigger show with more to choose from is what you're looking for then SCI is this place to be that I won't argue....but I'll trade you all the fancy food in Vegas for a plate of Texas BBQ

Not me! Vegas has the best chef's in the world.

Been to both Shows and it's SCI for me this year. A LOT less expensive for ME to attend SCI over DSC. Air fare to LV $200.00, three nights room at Mandalay Bay in LV $58.00 total, food and entertainment way better in LV, after Show activities endless in LV, next to nothing in Dallas and SCI is a Members Only Show (I like that). The savings in airfare, hotels, food and entertainment are FAR GREATER for me to attend in LV. These savings outweigh the cost of admission factor for each venue by a lot. Enjoy whichever Show you attend and for whatever reason. To each his own they say. Larry Sellers SCI(International)Life Member R8 Blaser

If you want to wade through 100 different South African plains game farm hunts, 30 different whitetail high fence hunts, another 30 Alaskan caribou hunts, 50 different wildlife jewelry retailers, 50 different wild life artsist, 50 different taxidermist, 30 different clothing retailers, and lots of old guys with rented girlfriends...go to SCI If you want have a more focused expereinced...go to DSC.
