Thanks for this snippet of history. It's good to know how Nilgai became established in Texas. Certainly an interesting animal, to me at least. A friend and I have discussed hunting them which we haop to do some day.

Ive shot a number of Nilgai, mostly on the King Ranch..about as good meat there is, probably smart to use a medium bore I liked the 338 win. as they can be tough to kill on occasions.

My 375 H&H would be my first choice. I know Nilgai are seriously tough. Cheers.
