I am interested in getting one of the smaller moose. Does anybody know about moose in the lower 48. Or maby I should say in a few chosen states in the lower 48. That one can hunt? And who the outfitter may be, and the cost??? Thanks MD

Not the lower 48,but NewFoundland is a great
hunt for #'s of moose.And if you are picky
you could kill a 40-50 incher.Most lower
48 hunts are draw or private land= low odds
or big $.

JEFF is correct It is difficult of expensive to get a moose tag in the lower 48. Canada esp with the exchange rate is much cheaper.

most provinces are good bets especially the newfie moose.

I dont know about cost or availibility but I have family in Maine that claim that they have to push moose out of the way just to drive down the road. I have considerd looking in to hunting there myself. Might be worth looking into.
