Ann, about a year ago, you posted a picture of a black bear, asking "how big is this bear?"

I had other things to do and ways to go and am only now getting back online. My question is: how much did the bear weigh? I thought he was fat but not too big. Maybe 200-250lbs. How wrong was I? Thank you in advance. John

I remember the thread. The bear was photographed by my New Brunswick bear outfitter. I truthfully did not know what it weighed and still don't. I was looking for opinions from the gallery to see what they thought he weighed. I've only seen a few black bears personally and the one I did shoot a few years ago looked to be of similar size. Just a medium sized bear from what I gathered. It would be tough to judge from a photo in my opinion.
