Here are some pics of antelope that my brother, a friend & I shot in Dalhart Texas this year.
They scored 75, 69, & 73. Nearest shot was 283, one at 312 & one at 328.

Regards Mike

Ok, now for the details, we had 14 sections to ourselfs to hunt. We saw lots of antelope & we all tagged out the first day. I was using a 300 wby mag (bottom pic) my friend was using a 300 win mag (middle pic) my brother used a 257 wby (top pic).
We thought when my friend who shot the middle buck had won the bet (pot for the largest buck) But as it turned out, it scored the lowest, but man it looked tall!!!
We did some scouting for another friend & found a nice buck that he killed & scored 85!!! 10 points better than our best buck.
The next day we found a place nearby to hunt prairie dogs on. (2 sections & $10 each to hunt all day!) We rained holy terror on the poor little devils, what a hoot! If anybody is interested in a good prairie dog hunt, contact me & I will give you a phone #.

Great goats Mike. I took two first timers antelope hunting this year and I had to beat them over the head that mass mattered more than length if they were shooting for score.

Any pronghorn in the range of those depicted here are damn good trophies. I do agree about mass. I measured a buck a month ago that was taken in New Mexico. Length 17 and 17.2, but the prongs went over 7 and the mass was great. Scored 90 SCI and will probably score 87 or better B&C. thumb

Did yoo have to get drawn or could you buy tags over the counter?
