I confess I quit cold weather hunting over eight years ago. That said, I've hunted when it was -20 below in the Black Hills of Wyoming. I discovered a real cold feet problem while wearing (then) top of the line Hermann Survivors. I eventually figured out I was wearing too much boot and sock, my feet would sweat, then I really got cold when stationary. So consider if your are sitting vs. when you might be moving. These new boot are super-duper for keeping you warm when sitting, but might be too much if hiking about. Consider carrying a couple pair of extra/dry socks to change out once stationary. It only takes a couple minutes and might mean the difference.

I had a pair of 800 gram rocky bear claws that lasted me 5 years of everyday use. I loved those boots. I bought them for deer hunting on Kodiak Island. They were great hunting boots.
