After a year of planning, putting in for tags, saving and dreamimg ... our season has begun! LaRita and I left home Thursday morning at 3:30am, got to Casper that afternoon at 2:00 pm. She shot her "first" antelope Friday afternoon, after making a 302 yard shot! Its a pretty nice one, better than my first, with good mass and the longest horn measuring just over 14 1/2". She'd looked at several but this was the one she wanted. She was happy and I was excited for her. Then after her buck, Friday evening a front come in and we woke up Saturday morning to temps in the 30s with spitting rain. After looking over a bunch of good bucks, LaRita said we were being too picky, a 250 yard shot and I got mine just before lunch Saturday. It has good mass, with ivory tips, cutters right at 5" and the longest horn measuring just over 13". Not a bad buck, we saw one or two than may have been longer but I just couldn't pass up those cutters. Here is some photos.

Next up is Bison in South Dakota the second week of October and then musk ox and caribou the last of October.

Its mid-night, we just got in from the airport and I'm off to bed!

Thanks VarmintGuy, we had a great time and glad you enjoyed the photos.

Ann, thanks for the kind words. We both had a great time, enjoyed Wyoming and now LaRita is as hooked on antelope hunting as I'am. Your going to have a great time. Good luck and enjoy! Wish we we're going with you.
