A friend of my of mine gave my daughter a MKII for a present.

I looked at it and decided that I would free float the barrel and glass bed it right away. I did this before even shooting it once. We mounted leupold 2.5 to 8 with boone and crocket reticle .

I just got back inside from shooting it. She well put 3 180gr hornaday sp's at 2700 fps into 1 in at a 100.

Not bad for one of those awful Rugers.

Now all it needs is a good trigger as with most factory triggers it is too heavy. That well come.

My daughter well be smileing for many years with this rifle.

It's my understanding that Ruger has certainly upgraded there barrels in the last few years. I have a few and have been very happy with the results.
