I live in Greene County, Pennsylvania and we have a really good deer population that is starting to produce some outstanding bucks. With the timbering in the late 90's and the four point on one side rule the bucks are starting to get 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old before getting harvested. But now for my dumb question's. As if I do not already know the answer, but want to see if this same problem is everywhere. 1) Why is it the game wardens will race past lesser buck's and does laying on the road and peoples yards to cut the racks off trophy bucks? 2) Why would anyone think its ok if two deer are killed in the accident to take the trophy buck from someones yard but leave the doe? 3) Why is it ok to set up a sting operation with a mechanical deer to catch hunters, but police can't hang CRACK on a telephone pole to catch druggies? Just the rantings of an ex hunter who is only involved in hunting now by the stories of the few that hunt my property. This is my favorite of the ones that play in the yard , but no where near the biggest.

I agree with your assessment of the questions (although I'm not too sure what the point is). I can only respond to #3. Law enforcement does a lot of other sting operations daily (although I've never heard of hanging crack on a telephone pole...not sure how effective that would be as crack heads probably couldn't spot it). They do routinely dress up female police officers as hookers and set them out on street corners to see how many dumb johns there are out there that would think they could find a street walker that still has most of her teeth and has showered that day. And they routinely put scruffy looking officers out on street corners in parts of town where decent folks don't go. Dummies from suburbia buy drugs from these guys and as soon as the scruffy looking officer takes off his hat shortly thereafter about 10 other cops come rushing out and point guns at the dummy drug buyers. Just like the so-called 'hunter' dummies that would think a big buck would stand there alongside a road during the daytime and get shot at multiple times without running off.

Matt, The point is what a joke it is that everyone in my area knows why you volunteer for a deputy job that has no pay. Just wanted to see if it just happens everywhere. The police was a toned down version of a co-worker of mines views on putting free crack feeders out on telepone poles and let them have at it to thin the herd. In our area it would be very easy to shoot a dandy buck from the road with a bow daily. The little pic I posted was very close to my back yard with a trail camera. Last night my daughter and I were comeing home frome the movies and we had 3 shooters in road I could have easily shot all in a 7 mile stretch. We have a little old apple orchard be hind our house and the guys have alot of differant nice bucks behind the house here. Here is another and if anybody wants I can try and get a few of the nicer ones to post
