Obama Radio Ad: It’s NOT Jim Shockey!

Please be advised ... to all who have heard a recent United States political ad on the radio, the person speaking is NOT Jim Shockey. We have received many e-mails from fans who have mis-heard the person's name.

This radio ad is approved by the Obama campaign, and the speaker is Ray Schoenke, the president of the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA). He pronounces his name such that it sounds like "Shockey." Jim, obviously, has no affiliation with this group.

We would GREATLY appreciate it if all of you who read this would help to clear Jim's good name. As you can imagine, Jim has taken some unfair criticism as a result of this mistaken identity.

The fact that people don't take the time to investigate the facts before they lash out has caused substantial confusion. Many of Jim's TV sponsors, licensees and business partners have received e-mails and phone calls from angry consumers saying that they will never again buy their products. As you can see, this kind of error on the part of folks who rush to judgment can turn into more than just a rumor. It can begin to impact on a person's livelihood and reputation.

Here is a statement from Jim: "I am 100 percent for gun ownership by law-abiding citizens. As a Canadian I cannot vote in U.S. elections, of course, but I would never ever support any candidate who is anti-gun."

I would never support Jim Shockey. I will never forget the American Hunter article when he stated that he and his camera man saw a huge animal, I think it was a moose. And he wrote that they were going to float on down the river so his "friend," the camera man who had a tag, wouldn't get the animal. Jim would later hunt the animal. Shockey comes off as a person who is in it for himself, not the animals we all enjoy pursuing or other sportsman. Which is fine. To each their own, but I won't support him.

Again this is just my opinion. I have never met the guy, but he is not the first person I would choose to have a beer with and not the first guide I would choose for a canada hunt.

I doubt enough citizens/voters are effected to worry about.

I think I came across a little harsh on Shockey. I guess I should have said, "Who cares what Jim Shockey says."

I'm a little tired of Jim Shocky, and his so-called "primative" scoped front loader, but that is no reason to allow people like OBAMA to benefit from what some one says, and defame Jim at the same time! No way is Jim an anti gun or hunting idiot!

If OBAMA wins this election, you won't have to worry about protecting you gun rights because you won't have any!

Obama is threatening radio stations with law suits, and loss of their FCC license if they run the NRA's adds stateing his gun voting record, and associations with anti gun groups, trying to deny NRA their right to free speach!
