| Ann, sounds like your the one stop shopping place The Lion hunt is something I realy want to do, the mountains aren't getting any smaller. The moose or the caribou we haven't decided on. Well, I want to do both, just don't see how we can do both next year. On the Caribou hunt whats the "luxury camp"? For that matter I'd be glad to look at details of all three hunts. |

| Ann,
I looked at your web page. Please tell me more about your Canadian Whitetail hunting package.
I have been looking into Canadian whitetail hunting packages for a couple now, would like to hear what you have to offer.
Any and all information would be great!
Thanks,

| Mark,
Same outfitter I allude to in your Moose thread offers Mountain Caribou in The Yukon. The quality of his area and trophies is beyond compare.

| When I looked into this I found that none of the Quebec camps I talked to were receptive to having ladies in the camp. I talked to all of the major outfitters directly. The place that came up over and over again in recommendations if taking a spouse was the Northwest Territories. Most camps there are set up for and very receptive to the ladies. If you choose either or even Alaska make certain that you speak directly to the outfitter you will be hunting with. |

| Mark 6.5--If you are looking for a caribou and moose hunt with your wife contact---Snowshoe Lake Hunting and Fishing--RON HICKS --snowshoe@nf.sympatico.ca--I have been there 3 times with my wife and am going back this year in september. They welcome women as hunters and non hunters. Tell RON that Don Hertz sent you. Hunting is great and their success rate very good. They are located in Newfoundland. I drive all the way, but must use the ferry between nova scotia and newfoundland. |

| I think you can also take the ferry from Bar Harbor, ME. |

| Thanks guy, but I hunted the "Rock" a few years back for Black Bear, taking a fair size one, and I saw several Moose and Caribou. Its a whole other story but I've already paid for one Newfoundland Moose/Caribou hunt, I just didn't get to go on it I know one bad apple....but I've been to Newfoundland and I'm not very interested in going back. |

| The hell with Canada, keep your money in America. For a great caribou hunt check out Iliamna Airguides in Alaska. www.airguides.com I'll personally vouch for them. Guided or drop hunt, excellent success. A drop hunt is $1750 American dollars, and I emphasize American. Email me for particulars if you wish. |

| If you do decide to bring your wife, definetly look to the Northwest Territories and drop me a line, ........over the past 25 years we've hosted scores of female hunters, some in "ladies only" groups, some singles, and many with their partner. All have been successful while being comfortable. "Giggle sessions" aside, we've loved accomodating them. This year we've got a "couples only" week for past hunters who've decided to bring the "other (better?) half" to experience the North. ~Arctic~ arctic.safaris@nt.sympatico.ca[/Email] |
