Keep in mind that was written by one individual who has no understanding of hunting.

She obviously does not understand that these "trophy hunters" hide because of the terrorist threats that the antis anonymously post(as if THAT is not cowardly!) after news of any animal that has a name.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Most of the pic that I saw were residential neighborhoods. Its very likely that 'Pedals' was a problem bear who owed his longevity to dumpster diving and people willingly feeding it.

The article itself is a monumental crock of bear feces. The article itself is lacking one key element, facts. For instance;

"Trophy hunters can not only bait bears and shoot them with arrows but also kill and quarter mothers who are standing right next to their cubs."

I dont know the regs in New Jersey, but that is a big no no in the great state of Wisconsin. In fact, one of the whole reasons for baiting is to prevent accidentally shooting sows.

"though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression."

Yea, this is a PETA STAFF MEMBER if you look at his byline. No wonder, hunters don't get a fair shake!

That was a straight-up editorial from a PETA member that pretended to be nothing else.

One more reason why it's a good idea to ignore the media.

Id love to take one of these bleeding hart snobs to an elk feeding ground where and old starving and sick bull has laid down, his flappy skin frozen to the ground and he beats his head on the ground until he kills himself..I for one would rather see him killed cleanly by a hunters bullet...Those people are wrought with ignorance, living in Ivory Towers I New York or California and even in Sun Valley Idaho have never met mother nature at work,
