ok here is what im going to do im going to make up a situation and you can awnser it with a choice given below ok here goes

ok your hunting for moose in the morthwest territorys you have been hunting long and hard for 8 days then when your walking down a old trail you hear something you turn around and you see a moose walking down a cutline you stay low and you estimate that the bull is about 56 to 64 inches he is a definit go-for so you line up your 358 norma mag stuffed with 250 gr round nose bullets and aim just behind the shoulder

ok no what do you do will you pass or shoot or wait till he is closer oh and the bull is about 180 yards away

First off, not being familiar with the area, are there moose in the NWT, and if so is it legal to hunt them?
Assuming that this is so, that is everything is legal, I think I would take the shot. If I was sighted in to be on at 100 yards, the bullet would be only 4 inches low at 200, so at 180 yards I would not have to worry about holdover. If I was sighted in at 200 yard, again, no problem.
Somehow, I think there is a trick to the question. How can he get closer if I am aiming behind the shoulder. He'd either have to be broadside to me or angling away. If he's angling away, he must be going away from me. Right?

Hmm just what is the object of this exercise?
180 yds with a 358 Norma, if you have to ask this question?
