The elk/pronghorn draw in AZ is now taking place. Right now, the only indication of a successful draw is a charge on your CC. Portals should be updated with the exact results within the next few days.

I no longer hunt, but I let someone else use my BPs. Haven't heard yet if his CC got hit.

I have hunted 23. He had best not be too wounded, pretty rough county.

Yup. Been in it a few times over the last 50 years. I have a friend that runs the WW program here in AZ, so I'll be consulting with him on it before I turn over the permit.

Yesterday, I spoke to the head of the 'Heroes Rising Outdoors' program, which is run by the AZ Elk Society. He told me they've had three elk hunters in 23 so far & all have tagged a bull with the help of Dale Robertson, a taxidermist who lives in Young. I know Dale, so I've decided that's the organization that will get my permit & put it to good use. The only preference I expressed is that it goes to a vet who was disabled in combat & not to some guy who hurt his back moving a file cabinet at Luke AFB. Cool

Up on top near Young would be a good area.
Agree needs to be a real wounded and not a paper cut.

I think I live a couple miles from you. At 83rd and Northern.
