For the first time, hogs have now found our farm so we are now in the Hawg extermination business. 18 year old son is having a ball defending his deer hunting turf from the piney woods rooters. He is getting a valuable education with respect to what bullets hold up, and what bullets don't on tough animals...good education! FYI: this one was taken with his 30/06 with 180 grain accubonds...hog was "drt"..."dead right there".

Hank -- great hog, congratulate your son! You should post this over on the Hog forum and share the details.

Looks like he'll be "defending" his deer hunting turf year round...I'm sure he will hate that! Big Grin

Good hunting,

Andy

I dunno if he will be willing to devote all his spare time to hog hunting....he's 18 years old and spends most of his time with a little cutie pie. He's been hunting long enough to understand how that stuff can get the bucks, young and old, in trouble. Doubt he pays attention to his old man though...hope he does though.

Hey Hank, If the Hog was skinned quickly, the old "Crock Pot" or s-l-o-w cooking over the Oak coals will render the meat into fine eating. Just had some Wild Boar sausage yesterday and it sure was fine.

Andy,

We hunt at the East Moreno Ranch. 15,000 acres of fair chase only hunting. Bordered by Ted Turner's ranch, Vermejo Park, on the east side, and the Valle Vidal wilderness on the North side. Almost Heaven....it is the only place on earth I would rather live than where I am at now. If I pass you on the road, I'll honk at you.
