Well guys, I just got back last Saterday from a sucessfull hunt in Idaho for mule deer. My olest boy had never harvested a buck, and had never been out of state hunting with me, so with that in mind, the hunting began north of Mountain Home. On day 4 we spotted a heavy horned Muley and my oldest boy was sucessfull. It field dressed around 220 Lbs, was a 24 inch wide 4 X 3 with 22 inch high horns. Nice buck. I also helped my brother in law harvest a forked horn as he wanted to take deer meat home. As for me, I was elated I was able to help my oldest boy harvest a nice muley. Grandpa (my wifes dad) was also there. Great Hunt

Thanks, I would rate it as one of my most memorible hunts, the other was my youngest boy's first deer. Thats what it's all about. In case anyone was wondering, my oldest boy used my dad's 30-06 pump 7600, and a 150 grain ballistic tip. This was the trip my dad would have loved to go on, he missed it by one year, but I'm sure he was with us anyway.
