Wife and I drove up to the new Lone Tree Cabela's store yesterday and were pretty impressed. Shelves were stocked pretty good with primers and .22 ammo. I did not recognize the brand but the .22 ammo was selling for $38 a brick, same prices for CCI primers. Looks like they decided not to carry powder as I could not even find an empty shelf. 9mm and 40 S&W ammo were on the shelf as well, 10 box limit.
We knew it would be crowded before we arrived and were not disappointed. Had to park in overflow parking and get bused over to the store but customer service was top notch.

Some fantastic deals in the Bargain Cave. We were looking for a new dehydrator and they had the commercial models (80 liter capacity) on sale for $279 from $349 (item IK-515819). A nice employee told us to go to the Bargain Cave and they had about 6 of the same model on sale for $172.

Check out the store, nice way to get rid of some extra $$$ in your walletSmiler

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Always neat to visit a Cabela's store. Nice to know it's location, that makes it the closest one to me I guess. Interesting I think that Cabela's would choose to open a store in a State whose Government has been so firearms/hunting negative and greenie infested the last few years. Confused Glad you had a good experience and thanks for the info.

They opened their 2nd and 3rd stores in Colorado this weekend. I hit both of them on Friday, the Thornton location had a little powder. Neither stores had any decent .22 lr on the shelves when I was there just CB ammunition. All I can say is I'll visit the Lone Tree location more, just because I hate Denver traffic. I'm glad there here, but can't wait unti the new Bass Pro opens in the COS.

If you think that's bad, some braniac at Cabela's located their Illinois store in Cook County. There is no more anti-gun county in the country and they located there. If they had built 5 miles west of where they did they would have been out of Cook County. Amazing. Dumb.

And the Cabelas in Illinois has already closed half the store. Insane sales tax (9% I think) and outrageous property tax. Why would they build anywhere near Chicago?
