Took a nice Aoudad yesterday on our lease. 265 lbs, 28.75" right horn, 30.25"left horn. Had to winch him out of a creek bottom and then up into a tree to get him loaded. My dog tracked him and was very happy to find him.

Thanks. Haven't determined if Indian shoulder, half body, or European mount. Already have a bigger one as a shoulder mount. I did skin him outnallnthe way though for a half body mount.

Is that what caused the darker brown spot in the second photo?

Excellent trophy and it sounds like you have a really great lease.

Looks like a nice heavy ram.

Is there a big difference in there summer and winter coat?

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

I've never noticed a difference between the winter and summer coats.

That was a follow-up shot as he was running into some thick brush.

That's not far from my place. Man we are covered up with Aoudads, we see more of them than deer.

Gotta love that free range Aoudad hunting. If you guys ever have a lease opening holler. Would be interested in a spot so I have a place to hunt during my down time.

I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game.
