Sorry if this is out of place but, Please Help. For those of you that have family or friends in the South Louisiana area close to New Orleans and surrounding areas, Please post here if they know or have heard how bad the damage is in certain areas and how deep the water is. We have many employees that were evacuated from these areas and they do not know how bad the damage is or if they still have homes. We can't hardly get through via phone so we are trying to get as many details as possible by word of mouth as to the damage in specific areas so, we can at least give these kind people an idea of how bad the damage is. We have gathered tips from several evacuees about the water levels in several areas but, there are still many areas that we are clueless on. Any help via internet info or by word of mouth would be much appreciated. Also how did the Forum members that live in the Hurricane path fair? Our Prayers are w/ you and all off the other people that have lost so much. Thank You All Very Much Reloader

Hey Reloader, I saw that there is a list of contacts being generated at http://www.wlos.com which might help some of your friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved from the initial landfall in Florida to the family of the little girl in Kentucky who got swept away into a storm drain. Best of luck to everyone dealing with this disaster.

We have a sister company in Houma. The word from them is that Houma fared pretty well. Even from there, though, they can't get word to/from New Orleans and further east. To me, that speaks volumes... Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
