All,

I'm checking in from an internet cafe in Custer SD and am having a great time. I have been camped in the French Creek Nature area for about four days now after spending a night camped outside Laramie Wyoming. I shot a doe Pronghorn that first night in the cowboy state and have been munching on her in my SD camp ever since. Had backstraps for breakfast today in fact.

Now, on to the bison. There are some REALLY nice herd bulls down here and some astounding solitary animals. There is an absolutely amazing 13 year old bull, all broomed to shit, lagging behind one of the herds roaming around French Creek. Anybody wanna loan me $4K? [Big Grin]
Alas, I have a cow tag but have seen some nice ones. One would be a great candidate for Saeed's "outer circle" as she has one horn curved in forward toward her eye and the other broomed off at about 3 inches. I have to wait to fill the tag until tuesday but will try to keep track of her until then.

That's the report from Custer . . . Will post photos upon my return.

Best,

JohnTheGreek

Good luck on your hunt. What rifle [the 416?] and bullet are you using?
