here is a doe I "harvested" a few weeks ago.(note shot placement @ 165 yds) (bang flop 30-06,150 @ 2700 fps)Smiler.
I had the opportunity to weigh it hog dressed with the hide and head attached.
Please guess what you think it weighed, and in a few days I will divulge the weight.
As you can tell I am bored, season is still open, but I have filled two of three tags already ,and wanted to save the either/or tag for blackpowder season which opens saturday after thansgiving

Hard to say without anything to reference the deer to. But judging by the head the small looking ears it is a good sized and older doe. I will say 131.

If by "hog dressed" you mean field dressed (innards removed), then I'd say 77 pounds.

If that doe has a normal size head, then it's a real hog. Absent any other evidence by which to reference it, and assuming the head to be "normal", then I'm going to say 150-plus pounds.

Looks like either an old doe with a small head or a young but very healthy doe. Either way, without a reference, I'm still going with my instinct, which is to say that the doe is on the bigger side. That front shoulder looks to be quite hefty for an immature deer, and the length of the rear ham seems long for a young deer.

My guess, 165+ live, 120-ish dressed.

I'd say 136 dressed. Either her head is tiny or her body is huge.

when I say hog dressed,I mean opened from throat to anus, esophagus ,heart ,lungs, intestines removed.field dressed has the diaphram intact with heart and lungs left in to keep cavity clean until removed from field.

here is a photo of spot where the deer was taken .it is just visible as a white spot in the brush line above the broken off branch. It was sneaking from left to right through the bottle neck between two bogs.Usually there is more water where the grass is,but it has been very dry the last few years.
My brother got a 8 point here a few days later on the other side of the bottle neck crossing from right to left.
before hunting this spot, the furthest I had taken a deer in minnesota was about 50 yds, normally it is very close quarters, thick brush, close shots.
