Was just checking out some ballistics on (paper) for this bullet. It's fast, hits hard, and retains it's weight. Seems it theoreticly would out preform 150gr Standard bullets or even (Ok now Im gonna pick a fight,LOL) a 150gr Nosler Part. Is the 130 X bullet to light for Elk size game or does the X bullet raise the bar for the limits of the
little .277 pill.

I shot a Elk in 1995 @ 250 + with a barnes X 130 gr. With 57 gr. of RL-19. He Jumped at the shot and looked my way, took 2 steps and fell face first into the knee deep snow. Before I could squeezzzz another off at him.
The bullet entered behind the left shoulder and broke rib going in and broke rib going out. The hole on the off side was about the size of a golf ball.... I am convinced..
