Shot a few pheasants and huns Saturday morning and then hit the hills on Saturday afternoon for an elk hunt and was lucky enough to score on a decent six point.

The dogs much preferred the pheasant hunting but it was a great Saturday.

Had a chance to hunt solo as my two daughters were all booked up with Halloween activities. I love hunting with them but sometimes the solitude is nice sometimes.

a big bull elk sounds like perfection. If you could have taken a few browns or rainbows

Nice bulls, getting me excited for my own elk hunt at the end of the month in New Mexico. I hope I can take one as nice as yours, I am hunting unit #15 a muzzleloader only unit, going to be a tough hunt.
