What exactly is a "quality elk hunt", as defined by the NMGF? Is this similar to Colorado's limited entry units? Thanks. DGK Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready Theodore Roosevelt

It's an area with a history of producing a large number of Trophy Bull Elk and it costs non-residents more money to hunt.

Don't know the politically correct definition but it has to do with the units/type hunt receiving the highest number of out of state applicants from the year before. At least it is something along these lines.
