Anyone here ever hunted this ranch. A friend of mine is booking a hunt here for next fall. I believe it's for whitetail, javallina and turkey. Any input would be appreciated.

The DRSS had a hog hunt there last spring...only two hogs taken kind of slow...

I saw a couple of deer and a couple of turkeys from the road...but we only hunted 1 1/2 days..

Rusty may have more details if you PM him.

I have talked to him on the phone a couple times and even saw him once on TV on the Food Network. He was letting some pigs out of a trailer. They were doing a show on a wild Hog cookoff in Crowell, if I remember correctly.

This ranch is about 20 miles from me, as the Crow flies, about 60 by road.

That area generally has a good Pig population.

That area should be loaded with Turkey.

Deer density in that area can be low, but the quality can be better than average if you find "that deer". I have taken some very nice Whitetails in that country. I don't know how he manages his ranch though.

Javelina are spotty, but if he has them, he should be able to find them.

All the Javelina that I know about in my county can be located with some corn, if you know where to look.

They are territorial.

Just like any operation, call your references.
