A friend of mine owns a huge ranch(32,000+ deeded acres) near Quemado NM and is wanting to sell 5 Landowner Tags. He has some giant bulls on his place. I have been down there quite a bit and have seen bulls in the 340"-360" class and know of bulls killed in the area that are over 400". There was a 430" killed on his fenceline 4 yrs ago so there are some great genetics in the area.

Dates are wide open, the tags are good for any 5 consecutive days and he thinks October is the best month.

He wants $5k a tag and will show you around the ranch. Its a neat place and its a great hunt. If your interested let me know and I can get some more info to you. I will try to post a few trail cam pictures tomorrow.

Has your buddy got any antelope tags? I use to have a lease closer to Pietown, huge bucks in that area.

Wendell
Great area, from Redhill over to Pietown.
Quemado is dead center. High plains, small hillocks to open prairie. Ceders to pines right on the Az border. Depending on weather could be a great hunt. Scout early and knock em down first day before they head toward Eagar.

Sorry Wendell, not personal. Big Grin First I could not take advantage of tags (recovery from back surgery is very slow), second thought was wow, Wendell bought all five in a heart beat which means he can get more for them, price of an elk hunt just went up.......sigh Frowner

Jim,

Oh, I see. That makes sense, now I understand.

I did not buy these to resell. I bought one for me, and I bought one for a guy who has done more work for me (free of charge) than I care to add up. the others are for friends.

If I find out that I dont have 3 friends, which is entirely likely, I will turn around and resell these at $5000 to anyone who wants them.

I did not buy them to re-sell at a profit, or to outfit an Elk hunt.

The ironic thing about this post is that if I have one left to sell, the first person I am going to call is Lhook7 because he expressed an interest in something like this.

And he thinks I have removed the temptation! rotflmo

Nope, just delayed it! thumb

You know what is sad Lhook, is that I am counting you as one of my friends, and you still may win with that bet.

Do the math ... and I even had to buy one of the tags for my friend!

Are you saying this because you saw that I bought one friend a tag? Because I can't afford to have very many friends like that.

I hate it when Lhook is right, especially when I have to admit it publicly.

Looks like all my friends backed out, even the free one.

These tags, less one, are for sale again. Price stays the same.

Here are a couple pics taken on the ranch on July 6. Antler growth is exceptional this year

There are 3 different bulls in the above pics, there are some other bulls that are better bulls but are very difficult to get close enough to photograph as they arein a different area. Regardless, the above photos show the potential. I will post a few more pics from past trail cam photos
