Very fine looking trophy; your cousin must be very proud! What sort of body weight would a deer like that go to??

Pete,
The deer weighted 154 pounds dressed. I do not know a lot of the details about the deer as I now live in Kentucky. I will be traveling to Massachusetts for the holidays so I hope to get more information.

Buffalobwana,
There are a lot nice deer taken in Massachusetts, very few people hunt up there now and this allows the deer to live long enough to grow big horns. Bryan

Mark G,
Massachusetts is a shotgun only state, just a guess but I would say a 12 gauge with 00 or 000 buckshot. I am going by memory but I think that was the load of choice for my cousin. He is kind of famous (well know) in the area for the large deer he has taken over the years in Mass. and Vermont.
