I'm looking for an area in MT to take my kids for some meat hunting. We like all kinds of game meat but venison is our favorite. We don't want to spend a fortune and don't know any ranchers who would like to thin out their excess deer. Any locals out there who could recommend a public area that is heavy on doe or possibly ranchers who might charge a reasonable trespass fee? I also have guns to trade.

Contact a few Chambers of Commerce in eastern MT, Glasgow & Miles City come to mind. The folks @ C of C's will personally know ranchers with large spreads and may give you a few leads. Best of luck to you.
