Just wanted to show how proud I am of my 12 y/o first deer with his .243 I got him last Christmas. He started out with Seafire's Blue Dot reduced loads and quickly worked up to full power ones.

Thanks Bob - I appreciate the comments.

Interesting you should be from Texas. It was soooo cold up here in Northern Pennsylvania that I told my 2 boys that next year maybe we can hunt in Texas for some of those big white-tails or hogs during the winter. Do you know of any good outfitters I can contact and see about setting this up?

Appreciate any information. Wayne

Wayne-

Congrats are in order for both of you. thumb

If you do hunt Texas next year, there are plenty of outfitters offering both deer and hogs. But don't necessarily count on the weather being warm. It can be pretty brisk here in the Lone Star State as well -- and the weather changes in a heartbeat.

Today, it is perfectly calm and will be 76 degrees in the afternoon, but tomorrow, the high temp will be in the mid-40s with wid gusts of 30 mph. Monday morning will be in the upper 20s in south central TX and probably single digits in the panhandle & west Texas.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Thanks Hot Core.

It is what we had available at the time. It is hard to see the actual tag in the picture which is torn off the bottom of the license (about 1" x 5") because this year's license was brown.
