A gift of charity, someone gave me a box of 225 gr sierra 358 bullets for my savage 99. Would this bullet be be adequete for elk hunting out to 200 yds?.

Yes, it would and then some. I used them for quite a while until changing over to the 225 Nosler Partition. I've got 3 more boxes if you want 'em. #2850 Sierra BT

They work fine for broadside and slightly angled shots, I would not try a raking shot with them, I would with a 225 Nosler....So why??
