Michigan has banned deer baiting in lower peninsula to prevent the spread of CDW at bait stations.

does it include food plots?

I honestly do not know. My gut says food plots are not effected by this ban.

IMHO baiting has ruined deer hunting in the mid-west.

Baiting is illegal where I live as well. The landowner along my south border has 200 plus acres and a big spin cast feeder 50 yards from the fence line.

I have made my opinions on baiting and baiting vs. food plots known in other threads. I do not want to start that fire; just reporting this time.

Others do not need my permission to engage in that debate if they wish.
