Thought I'd post up a question for some of the Arizona residents or hunters who have had this tag before. Got lucky and we have two 12B West tags for Nov. 19-28th, and will be able to get down the day before and stay all season. We are looking for any general info for the area. Have the maps, visited the AzG&F site, talked to some people already, and feel like we've made a good start. How about info on motels, restaurants, stores, travel, etc. Anything will help. Thanks.

Basically two choices: either Jacob Lake Lodge or something in Fredonia. In either case, depending on what area of the west side you decide to hunt, it will be a ride each day. JL would be somewhat closer as the crow flies. -TONY

You really need to be camping there. It's too far from civilization. On the west side, look to some of the springs that are in canyons that drop off to lower elevation. Glass early and late. Check any water sources ahead of time as they may be dry. Also, remember that you need to camp away from water holes, just check your regs. Good luck.
