I would go with a matte 4.5 to 14, vari x 3 with the boone and crocket plex. Optics are excellent, and I have never been let down by one.

One other option, Send your current Leupold to Premier Recicle (http://www.premierreticles.com/) and have them put a Gen 2 Mil Dot in it. You will save a bunch of $$ that way.
