Hi ya'll, I am a big fan of Elmer Keith. Have read quite a bit of his work over the last few years and I am just completely hooked. The more I read, the better it gets. Although I know what he looked liked during his life from the many b/w stills I have in the books, I am quite curious as to how the man spoke and how he moved. Have searched youtube but to no avail. If anyone has a link or similar to any tape recording or preferably a video recording, I'd be much obliged. Cheerio, / Rikard

you might try the --NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION--since he was a board of directors member. He spoke at a number of events, so they may help you.

Therewas a commercial a few years back that showed people rafting down a river and later in camp, a short stoky guy with a big hat chopping wood. Guess who? Elmer himself. So there is at last one piece of film with him in it. Damned if I can remember the product or the hunting show as comcst dropped that sporting channel and replaced ir with versus which only shows hunting and fishing during the day when I don't watch the tube. As short as that litle piece was, there surely has to be more that that piece came from. Of course, it is silent but it was a pleasant surprise when I realized who was chopping the wood. As long as we'e taling film of that type, I'd love to snag some of the Martin and Osa Johnson footage, silent or otherwise. Paul B.
