Looking out my kitchen window and I see the first fawn of the year so I call my daughter to tell her that a fawn is in between our houses. She couldn't see it but says that there are coyotes in the hay field that was just cut two hours ago.

I ran to the basement and grabbed the 22.250AI and ran back up to the back porch. I see two adult yotes and three half grown pups just in front of my deer blind, which is 315 yards from my porch.

First shot and one adult down while the other adult streaks off. One of the pups stops at the tree line at about 305 yards but I missed it.

I shot the female but she looked like she had already weaned the pups.

Good job!
If you get them all cleaned out, come up to my place. Lost two calves out to pasture last year.
Shot one coyote in the act of pulling the calf down. Calf died anyway from injuries.

Excellent. Try and find their denning area.

I've got a big pack of about a dozen that roams the 500+ acres of woods on four different properties along with about 1,000 acres of connected farmlands.

Here's the cleanup crew. Two buzzards sitting on a hay roll. There are two dead coyotes in the brush to the right of the vultures.
