After 5 years of trying, my father drew a Utah deer tag for this fall. (I just put in for a point, hoping to draw next year. We figure we can wrangle two trips this way, rather than both draw together. This year I'll just be his spotter, packer, dragger, etc ... ). Anyway, we plan to hunt southern Utah, near Bryce Canyon (it's a general tag, so we won't be on the Paunsagaunt... ). My parents spent a few summers there after they retired, so we have a general idea of the area. However, we haven't been there in five years now. Can any of you locals help us out? Any recommendations? Our general plan is to fly to Vegas, rent a truck, drive up and stay in Tropic, and hunt from there. My dad has two artificial knees, and is feeling his age a bit more lately, so this is going to be a somewhat easy hunt (hopefully). No camping, no extra strenuous climbing, etc. Just looking for a good representative buck. Mainly, I'm looking for a good time hunting with my dad, while he still can... Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks!

Cold Bore, I have spent a lot of time hunting the area around Panguitch, which is about 25 miles from Tropic. This might be too far from where you want to stay, but drop me a PM if you are interested. Chet
