I found the site for this 'smithy while surfing the internet. http://www.angelfire.com/ok5/blackmesaexpress

Is anyone familiar with them?

They also have a line of proprietary cartridges called The Black Mesa Express.

It comes in .338 and .375 flavor.

Is anybody familiar with these rounds ?
They seem to be some sort of giant cased supermag.

Thanks for the input,
HBB

The 338 and 375 Black Mesa Express are essentially 338 and 375 Remington Ultra Mags. They are probably a bit hotter and predate the factory cartridges.

The factory RUMs pretty well killed any interest in them. IIRC, there is a 6.5 and 7mm version also.

I have heard good things about Mr. McDaniels, but, personlly, have never seen any of his work.

Now you know as much as I do about them. [Big Grin]

Thanks for the info. I wonder if his cartridges had any influence on the folks at Big Green who gave us the Ultramags?
