After missing the public land draw for years, I arranged a trespass hunt for antelope this year. I go next weekend! The ranch is only 7 miles due west of Cheyenne nearly adjacent to the interstate. Sad to say, I have been to northern Wy a number of times, but I have never been closer to Cheyenne than Denver. Was just wondering if someone give me another opinion on the general lay of the land. Is there hills or slight dips that can hide you? Will it be billboard flat? How high is the vegatation now? Do you guys really wear knee pads. Thanks

Go to Google Earth and download the app. then enter Cheyenne WY and zoom in from space! Don't try it if you are on a dial-up, better but still slow on cable, great if you are on a T-1 or greater. NRA Life member, H-D FLHTC, Hunter Ed instructor, And a elk huntin' fool!

metalman I have driven west through Cheyenne twice this year, once in June and again last week of August. Both times I saw Antelope just outside of town. The land has some rolling hills, should be able to sneak up close enugh for a shot at a Speed Goat. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I hunt in that general area most years (when I get drawn) and there is a lot of broken ground there. Lot's of rolling hills, gullies, etc. plenty of diversity to do a sneak on. I drive by the area about 5 times a week. I live in Laramie and work at the Air Force Base in Cheyenne. I have seen quite a few in there as I have driven by. Is the ranch on the north or south side of the interstate? One reason is the rolling hills are mostly on the north side. The are some pretty open areas on the south side ****************************** There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular -- but one must ask, "Is it right?"
