I have two hunting dreams that have not yet come true..

1) Cape Buffalo. I dream of a 3 or 4 week safari, with 2 or 3 Cape Buffalo on the menu.

2) Hunting Mongolia for Hangay, Gobi or High Altay Argali. And I'd throw a Marco Polo ram and Ibex in for good measure.

I am spoiled by opportunity as a resident of BC, in that I have ready access to most of the animals I have wanted to hunt. Dream #1 is something attainable at least, and is something I hope I can make happen more than once in my lifetime. Dream #2 is likely only attainable with a major lottery winning!!!

The Ibex species that I haven't yet hunted; Desert bighorn; Markhor; Elephant; Mtn. Nyala; Bongo; LD Eland; Sitatunga. The only ones likely are the Sitatunga, and purely dependent on drawing, but possible, the Desert Bighorn. I'll get at least some more Ibex. I want to get a World Slam of them (12), but that will be tough.

The only thing I can think of would be Texas Nilgai.

My N. American wish list (since I posted the African in the other forum ):

Desert Bighorn in AZ.

A guided, horse-back elk hunt. Colorado or Montana.
