Livestock losses decline as feds kill wolves By The Associated Press - Oct 10, 2007 JACKSON - Federal officials have been more aggressive about killing wolves that prey on livestock in Wyoming this year. They say livestock losses to wolves have declined as a result. This isn't rocket science!

Maybe we (the G&F) need to run some yealing herefords with the wintering elk, so that when the wolves are after the elk they turn on the herefords,(slow elk) and then the feds will have to come kill the wolves! Any whoooo, they are the feds wolves, they need to manage them!

Trappers eliminate Butte wolf pack 10/1/07 Interesting that Federal Trappers shot and killed this pack because they were to close to livestock yet in WY a rancher caught park service personel releasing trapped wolves onto calving pasture just South of Cody just a few years ago. My how times have changed. It would seem that a lot of wolves are gathering near livestock these days. If the Bush proposal to eliminate 600 wolves goes through, that would still leave over 900 wolves. About 3 times more than they wanted to claim restored status.
