So, fo everyone buying tickets for the new raffle, let's hear your choices for chambering, setup, etc.
I have lots of ideas, but I want to hear others.
One looks like this:
6.5-Dakota 2.015", 358-375 Dakota, 416 Dakota.
Or 6mm-308, 358-375 D, 416 Rigby.
I do like the idea of a "set" of cartridges, rather than just my favorite in each length.
I'd like to stock them as a set, as well, but in a varminter, classic hunter, and African style.

Your ideas?

.257 Roberts AI, .30-'06AI, .375AI. All set in one of the more upscale laminates with a fixed power Leupold 6x42 on each.

Typo.
Meant to say "6.5mm-08."
BTW, The middle length action can hold 'cats up to 3.65" I believe, the Mag goes to 4".
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, a 6.5-08 is a 260 Rem. What's your game anyway? [Big Grin]

As for me, I'm going with a 6.5-284 for the short action, one of the 458 mags for the mag action (still studying on it). I have no idea about the middle one, maybe 35 Whelen.

Hmmm ... have a .308, 308 Norma Mag, .338 Win Mag, .375 H&H, .416 Rigby and a .470 NE.

Might be prone to go with something like 7mm-08, 9,3 x 62, and .458 Lott. That would make a pretty nice set of hardware when added to what is already in the safe.

What a tough choice this would be! (But someone will have to make it!)

Hmm, haven't given much thought to it as am not a lucky person when it comes to lottery, but I think I would like a battery of 6x45,or the 6.5x45,300weatherby,and either a 9.3x70 or the 400H&H just to be different [Big Grin]

Meant to say 7mm-08 - no, wait.
Just kidding.
Yes, The Big Green does like to call it their's.
I do believe I have to side with A-Square on this one, though. Might doesn't make right.
BUT ANYWAY, I definitely want a 6.5 of some sort for that short action.
Apparently the "short" can hold up to 3.1" cartridge, and this opens up a few "x57" possibilities, as well as the 375 Steyr, or maybe even a new wildcat on a 2.315" Jeffery case.
The NSSM (Not-so-short magnum) [Big Grin]
Hmmm, how far will that $10k go...?
